Congratulation to Marius Oßwald for finishing his Master Thesis!

Marius Oßwald presented the results of his master thesis today. In his master thesis, he developed a system based on a multiview camera setup that enables the synchronous acquisition of high-density surface EMG and the generation of 3D kinematics of arbitrary hand and finger movements. He conducted a series of experiments with this system to test and validate it. The data obtained were then used for various analyses, such as predicting finger movement phases from EMG data and studying the effects of movement velocity on neuromechanical delay.

With this final presentation, he has successfully completed his master’s thesis with us. We congratulate him for this and welcome him as a future PhD student with us. We wish him good luck and success in his future research.

We would also like to congratulate Marius Oßwald on his master’s thesis being selected by the DMEA as one of the top 5 in its category. Please participate in the voting: DMEA voting. Here you can take a look at all master theses (video 6-10): DMEA presentation playlist.

We keep our fingers crossed for him and wish him good luck in the election for the best master’s thesis at the DMEA from April 26 to 28 in Berlin (https://www.dmea.de/de/).
